Breed Councils

The CFA Breed Councils were established in 1970 to serve as an advisory body on breed standards to the CFA Executive Board. The CFA Breed Councils are comprised of individuals experienced in their chosen breed/division section, and who have met other eligibility requirements. Each CFA Breed Council channels opinions and suggestions from the individual breeder to the Board through their breed secretary.

The members of the Manx Breed Council are devoted to the promotion, protection and preservation of the Manx breed, maintaining our breed's uniqueness and distinguishing look. To that end, awards are given each year to the breeders, owners, and exhibitors of the top 10 Manx kittens, top 10 Manx in Championship, top 10 Manx in Premiership, and (if any) Manx achieving Distinguished Merit status during the season, as well as the top cat being shown in Veteran Class.
